Music. It's the best.
Except when we do it.
An exclusive interview with the leader and principal songwriter of the Kitten Mincers, Raving Joe Prunefetisch
Why the Kitten Mincers?
It reflects our cheerful and sunny disposition.
Do you play live?
We find it better than playing dead, although some critics claim otherwise. Special moments usually occur at 0400 in the morning, but when listening to them again in the cold light of day, the magic seems to have mysteriously vanished.
How, do you think, does the Internet change the music industry?
Hopefully it will put the dinosaurs in the record industry out of business.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No. And they wouldn't want us anyway.
Band History?
We prefer to remain anonymous for tax and Child Support Agency reasons. Members of the band have appeared with a number of popular beat combos including Inside Leg, The Bewdley Rock Gods, The Blockley Rock Odds. Spinal Tap, Pink Floyd, The Who, The Mothers of Invention and The Beatles. We were only in the audience for some of these.
Your influences?
Zappa, Beefheart, Floyd, Richard Thompson, Bewdley Rock Gods, Sugababes, Stravinsky, Plummet Airlines, Electric Bluebirds, Rolf Harris.
Favorite spot?
Portmeirion. I am not a free man, I am number 3214.
